Simplicity 1277 Pattern Adjustments for my COD Students

My clothing construction one class at College of DuPage is currently sewing dress Simplicity 1277.  This post explains to my students how to blend from one size (16) in the bust to a second size (18) in the hips on this specific pattern.  To simplify the process, the pattern changes adjust circumference only at the side seams; we did not adjust the garment internally.  Construction steps for the entire garment will be posted during February in case you are interested in sewing along.
Skirt Front #3-extend seam line from 16 to 18 (red ink)

Bodice Side Front #2-Blend from waist down, with a french curve, from 16 to 18.  The difference between sizes is 1/2": this amount is also adjusted horizontally to the lower left corner as shown.

We will review these changes at the start of next class!
